The Architect

“My loft is a fluid space that expresses New York city’s typical eclecticism and creativity and at the same time speaks of me, of my story and my passions”

An industrial-chic setting in the heart of SoHo, one of New York’s most charming neighbourhoods: this exclusive space tells the story and the inspirations of the architect who elected this place as his residence. The loft features the almost total absence of partitions, hight ceilings, brick walls and large windows that let in plentiful natural light, typical elements of an abandoned factory that become functional for the new private use. The professional, who originates from Paris, is deeply in love with “The Big Apple”, so he has brought New York’s typical eclecticism and creativity to his home-studio, the privileged place where he loves to reconnect with himself and with the world and where he gets inspired by beauty to get ready for always new ideas and projects. In a fluid environment that perfectly expresses the architect-designer’s dynamic and inclusive way of life, spaces designed to host informal cocktail parties, areas dedicated to concentration and cosy corners for relaxation alternate each other.

The living area is dominated by the presence of prestigious furnishings with a diversified style. Placed at the centre of the scene, Seattle modular sofa is a decisive affirmation of a modern metropolitan style. In perfect balance between aesthetics, comfort and function, the retro style of the Kalamaja armchairs, with their typical Mid-century accents, enhances the charm of the conversation area. At the centre of the dining room we find the Rockefeller dining table - a piece of furniture with a contemporary aesthetic, characterised by the contrast between the solidity of the travertine marble legs and the soft and light appearance of the Tay wood top with rounded shape. The Harlem chairs, with their slender and light structure and their enveloping backrest with a dynamic shape, complete the ensemble with a metropolitan character. The night area is dominated by the welcoming presence of the Clapton bed, characterised by an elegant and sensual warmth, emphasised by the presence of two large cushions upholstered in leather with contrasting piping.
